My three images

my best creative work

It is an oil paint on canvas I did a few years ago when I lived in Hong Kong. Some snapshots taken when I traveled to an ancient Chinese water village inspired me to do the painting. I made use of the colours to express the age and volume of the buildings by detailing some of the building materials. The earthy tone of the paintings communicated the down-to-earth and simple life style in the village.

Antoni Gaudi is a genius! His buildings are so original, surprising and different. Casa Batllo was remodeled from the previous house and Gaudi devised a totally innovative solution to the building’s patio, façade, roof, and the interior spaces. I find Gaudi’s interest to nature is expressed in the abstraction of organic forms in Casa Batllo. Through Gaudi’s works, it inspires and encourages me to be true to one’s own creativity, belief, and thoughts and the results can go beyond limit !
original photograph of something beautiful

I took the photo in Jardin du Palais Royal in Paris. When I walked on the path lined orderly by these tall evergreen trees, my sight and mind were brought to infinity. The photo beautifully captured the tranquility and peacefulness under the tree shade in a lazy afternoon, which was such a retreat in the busy and tourist-filled Paris.
